Water Policy Group has spoken at two events associated with preparatory meetings for the 2026 UN Water Conference at UN Headquarters in New York on 8-10 July 2025.

At the Seventh Special Thematic Session on Water and Disasters “Water and Disasters for Cooperation and Partnerships” on 8 July 2025, spokesperson Tony Slatyer presented Water Policy Group’s recent initiative “A new global approach to sustainable water management” and offer to conduct a third global survey of national water leaders as a contribution to the 2026 UN Water Conference.

At the Roundtable on the Financing and Investments Agenda of the 2026 UN Water Conference, hosted by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 10 July 2025, Water Policy Group spokesperson Professor Kenzo Hiroki further explained these two initiatives.
